This short film is about a young african boy with a haunting back story starts that starts school in Ireland. He quickly finds out quickly exactly what it means to be the new kid. This film was the winner of "best narrative short" at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival. This type of film would be very easy to re-create because it is almost entirely filmed in a school environment.
Some of the shots made in this short film we want to incorporate to our short film. We like the school setting so its easier for some of the shots to made because everyone seems quite equal. I like having a lot of long over the shoulder shots in classroom because it really represents what's happening with the victim which in turn will be me. I like how they used more focus on one person and then less on everyone else making that one person look very significant and from then on, people already know who they'll be watching.
